We appreciate the opportunity to give local residents an outlet to get fresh air and exercise in a safe environment. We pride ourselves in providing somewhere for our guests and employees to enjoy the game of golf, and we have opened with some very important changes designed to limit contact, transactions, and touch points to ensure everyone's safety.
Are you walking or riding?
We are allowing walking and single rider carts (members of the same household may share a cart). Because we have effectively halved our cart fleet and the additional sanitation that each cart undergoes after use there may be a wait for riding tee times. All carts must be returned to the clubhouse by 7:30pm
Can I walk up and play?
All tee times must be booked and paid for ahead of time. If you don’t have a tee time booked, you will not be allowed to play. We cannot have groups of people waiting for walk up play to be available.
We apologize, but we will not be able to adjust the prepaid amount the day of your round. If for any reason you cannot make your tee time, and you booked it through our website, please log in to the ONLINE BOOKING ENGINE to cancel and receive a refund. If you booked directly on GolfNow you will need to cancel on their website. If those options are not possible, or you run into an issue, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the name, date and time of your reservation.
If you don’t have a tee time booked, you will not be allowed to play. Please arrive only 15-20 minutes early to avoid creating any large groups. Once at the course you may go to the starter to verify pre-payment and check in. Because we have effectively halved our cart fleet, plus the additional sanitation that each cart undergoes after use, there may be a wait for riding tee times. You may purchase food, drinks and merchandise from the outdoor station in front of the pro shop side door.
The front doors will remain locked for entry. The clubhouse will follow the recommended social distancing space of 6 feet. Each restroom is limited to just 1 guest inside at a time. Please check your temperature before leaving your house and stay home if you are sick. Social Distancing is practiced in all areas of our facility and should be practiced on the golf course as well. Do not share clubs and golf equipment with your playing partners or congregate with them in the parking lot before or after your round.
The clubhouse is limited to 1 guest inside at a time for use of the restrooms only. All port-a-john access has been removed from the course.
What about food, drinks and merchandise?
All league start dates and times have been adjusted. If you have questions, please reach out to your league coordinator as we will continue to keep them informed. All our in-house tournaments and golf outings have been postponed. We are hoping to resume socially distant tournament play soon.
» You can book tee times (sometimes at a lower cost and always with no booking fees).
» We will send you notifications once our golf tournaments are open for registration, and may have special early bird or app user deals on their entry fees.
We know that the golf course can be a special bonding place for parents and their children. Many of us have fond memories of learning this great game under the guidance of our parents, and we want to help keep the tradition going!
Every day 2 hours before sunset children under 17 play for free with a paying adult!
You just pay the prevailing rate for the golf course and your son or daughter can play with you for free. You can add additional children at the junior rates, and if you need to borrow a set of clubs to introduce them to the game - just let us know! It would be our pleasure to give your son or daughter a free set of junior rental clubs to help them get introduced to the game.
Featuring a Clyde Johnson Design, Forest Greens Golf Club offers opportunities and challenges alike to all golfers. The setting is without distraction as there are no homes on this classic parkland style layout. It is simply you, your friends, and the golf course. Set in the rolling terrain of the Piedmont in Triangle, VA not far from Quantico Marine Base it is a course that offers challenge, magnificent vistas, natural settings, and golf as it was envisioned.
The signature hole at Forest Greens may be one of the best risk reward par fives in Virginia. The sharp dogleg left not only requires a solid tee shot to give a view of the uphill approach, it makes you consider how aggressive you want to be. Do I go for the green, or do I lay up? Regardless, if you are looking for an escape from the daily grind, some great golf, a great value and a friendly staff…Forest Greens is great!
Hours of Operation: Sunday - Saturday Open - 6pm (weather permitting)
The driving range will be closed periodically due to range maintenance. We appreciate your patience.
