They say you can't fight Mother Nature. That certainly holds true at Forest Greens this spring. We aerated greens later than most courses because, typically, the soil temperatures are warmer in the middle of April than they are in March and the greens heal much quicker. Not his year. We also have Bermuda grass fairways which also require warmer soil temperatures before they green up and start growing. There has been some progress in the past couple of weeks yet the recent cold snap has brought everything to a screeching halt. Just like you, we're waiting for Mother Nature to deliver some nice, warm weather so the grass will start growing and we can deliver our typical excellent playing conditions.
